There are two guys that I would like to see walk the plank, cut, and simply put, become purge from everything that is associated with the Raiders football team--Micheal Huff and Justin Fargas. These guys do not give you much, especially from a pure football talent standpoint.
With Fargas, what you have is an overpaid third string running back. And with the emergence of Micheal Bush and Darren Mcfadden you have a lethal combination of two running backs who not only have vision and the ability to find the endzone, but guys, simply put, that are better backs and will make the running game that much more lethal. Did I also mention the fact that these guys will cause defensive coordinators to stay up late at night game planning D around these two? Can you imagine a split back formation with these guys, or even the idea of motioning one of them under center. Quite frankly, it is very appealing and it gets my juices flowing. Micheal Bush proved when giving the chance that he is a horse to deal with. 2 touchdowns, 170 yards, and a 60+ yard run aganist a fast TAMPA D last year. Darren Mcfadden proved some of his worth aganist Denver last year as Denver had to adjust to his playing style, ability to do damage in the run and pass game. Furthermore, in case anyone else doesn't know this, Justin Fargas has managed to score five rushing touchdowns the last two seasons. Name another starting running back for a top ten rushing team that has those type of stats; it is incredible. With what we have, we need to utilize bush and mcfadden all over the field, force defense to adjust, and then force motherfuckers to pay with Miller in the seams, Higgins/Murphy on crossing routes, or Schilens/DHB deep. Micheal Huff is ja glorify stiff who cannot tackle. Look, every year he has been in this league he has progressively gotten worse as a football player if that is even possible. He played at a star stud defensive backfield at Texas. Aaron Ross and Griffith were the other two guys -- one is a corner for the Giants, the other is a Safety for the Titans. Huff was the weak link and he continues to prove why he cannot play safety. I don't see how a 200 pound skinny dude is playing safety to begin with. Secondly, outside of Stu, he has to be one of the worst tackling safeties I have ever seen. He makes Derrick Gibson look an all pro and that is saying a lot considering all of the bad angles that Gibson took Huff is also a lazy slouch who is not even excelling in what we drafted him to do, play a lot man coverage and become a difference maker. I would much rather see a combo of Mike Mitchell and Tyvon Branch, or Hiram Eugene. A statement needs to be made and this starts with cutting these slackers who are living comfortably off of the RAIDERS. |

Nice write up bro. I agree 100%
Huff shouldve been gone already, Fargas while I admire his heart, he simply dont cut it. Heres to the McFadden/Bush era.

Love it E! Thanks...
They are in camp and this is their last chance. If it was up to me they would have been deep in the depth chart, if not, gone. Keep em coming bro. Thanks |

If we got rid of Fargas and added Vick on a two year back loaded contract, we could really diversify the offense. Oakland is one of only a few teams where he would be not expected to reach high levels of productivity and with the warnings the NFL has given him, behavior would be the furthest thing from his mind. We would have a multi-level threat to do several different things (Wildcat, slot, QB, RB) but the expectations would be somewhat lower than if he went to say the Cowboys. It is a good match for him, and a decent option for us

If we get Vick, I agree that it will be great for our offense, just imagine Russell and vick with mcfadden in on a package, that will be hard to guess who is going to do what.
